The eternal struggle between good and evil.
Look at this journal entry as a child contemplates her own fate. What short term benefits would she receive if she would stray from her christian path for only one second? Glee, emotional release, relief, fury, revenge? What is certain, is that a change would occur. The author does not make it clear to the level of change: physical, emotional, metaphysical? One can only ponder the nefarious thoughts of this young child that lead her to this point. The post creates more questions questions than it answers. Why would this so called “sister” not leave her alone?! Was there a more sinister goal that filled her sister’s shrill heart? Was it the sister advocating the “Change” all along? Let us take a look at the lyrics from the hip hop prophet, Immortal Technique in his song “The Point of No Return”
Cause once you past the point you can never go home
You’ve got to face the possibility of dying alone
So true, Immortal, So true. Had this girl not stayed strong in her christian beliefs she would have died alone. In the end she chose to take a higher path and I think we call all be thankful for that.
